If you have been playing chess or know someone who plays you already know its an addicting game.
If you have not played it yet, then probably you can take some basic course either on the Internet or in your neighborhood. As you learn more about the game, you willl slowly realize how addicting it is.
It doesn't matter if you are 18 or 80 you can still learn the basics of the game and no one is going to frown upon you as it is a game of international repute and furthermore it makes you look smarter. It will also help you improve your cognitive abilities(brain functions).
The first step in learning chess is to become aware of the board and pieces then you can learn how to place them on the board in a proper fashion.
Once you get that, then you can learn how each piece moves across the chess board again this will take less than an hour to learn the real magic lies in learning when to move which piece but do not worry as you keep playing you will learn quickly.
It's time to start playing with your friends the more you play the more you will understand how the game really works it is better to play different kind of opponents as it will help you to come up with different ideas.
By playing chess everyday, you will improve your game progressively and one day you will find you are able to beat your opponents in a short span of time we will discuss more about this in the coming days.
